This was a delightful read. I was so surprised. Lucy's daughter writes in the preface that they found Lucy's memoir after she died. She wrote it in the sixties, so you don't get her later life. She doesn't dish the dirt on Desi's affairs or write anything scandalous, but she does write about working with him and Bob Hope and all kinds of people from those days. She really had a knack for writing. The narrative flows merrily like water down a stream. I remember watching reruns of I Love Lucy at 9 a.m. weekday mornings when I was little and sick in the sixties. Although she rarely made me laugh, I adored her. She was such a cool person.
