This is a beautifully written book, but the humor i associate with Lucy Coleman is sadly missing. In its place, page upon page of description, which, in my opinion, go on far too long. The love story itself seems secondary to the affair the author has with Versailles. The characters, including the minor ones, are interesting and well rounded, but I suppose I just prefer the central characters be people, not plants.I’m sure many will find this an inspiring environmental story, and well they should. It is just not what I expect from this author.
