This book! I kind of prided myself on keeping my partisan views to myself and not trying to push my ideas on anyone else. But this book made me realize that I can do better... a lot better. I can actually be a force for good and reconciliation instead of throwing my hands in the air and saying nothing can be done.There is so much wisdom and common sense set out in these pages. Why is Bill Haslam the only one saying these things in the public arena? The thoughts he puts forth here are honestly a breath of fresh air. I have a whole new outlook on politics and the political process. Thank you, Bill Haslam, for penning a primer for how to navigate our current political environment. I am greatly encouraged. No matter which side of the aisle you are on, you should absolutely read this book. Faithful Presence will renew your faith in what is possible and give you hope for brighter days ahead. Highly recommended.
